JPMorgan Agrees to Buy OpenInvest ESG Investing Platform
The largest U.S bank takes another step in their effort to boost the sustainable investment trend. After their third acquisition of a fintech startup, CEO Jamie Dimon said last year the bank would be “ much more aggressive” when searching for takeovers. OpenInvest, their most recent acquisition, creates a highly personalized stock portfolio. The company uses data from more than 35 sources to feed decision engines to make sustainable investment decisions for each individual.
The other two fintech startups that caught the eye of JPMorgan are 55ip, a company that automates construction of tax-efficient portfolios. and an online british wealth manager Nutmeg which they agreed to buy last month.
